I’ve done over 5,600 sonnets now. This website contains a varied sample of over 100 of them.
Hope you enjoy reading one, some or all of them.
The sonnets are my intellectual property, but you are welcome to use freely, unless for a commercial purpose,
for which you would require my permission. That can be sought via the Contacts page on this, or my other eleven sites.
There is surely a sonnet on this website to enjoy, stimulate your thinking, or even perhaps offend you. If the last,
I’m sorry, … but there you go!.
Feel free to let me know. However, gratuitously nasty comments, like other irrelevant communications, will simply be deleted without response from me.

The Sonnet Man.
WHAT IS A SONNET?
A Sonnet is a poem, but with a specific structure and derives from the Italian word “sonnetto”, meaning “little song”.
Mine follow the pattern of 14 lines, 10 syllables a line,
and the rhyming pattern for verses of – abab cdcd efef gg.
If you like words, word games and poetry, try constructing a sonnet on such a basis for yourself. Good luck.

Like the sonnets on my other websites, the ones on this one are my intellectual property.
However, I would be happy for any to be used, as felt fit,
provided they are accredited to The Sonnet Man or the relevant website address.

A seventh website was my intention,
to add to the six already in place.
It given the name, Sonnet Expression.
Giving all these sonnets internet space.
A lot of politics, but more beside.
And those, I think, are not too difficult.
Some of the others will, surely, surprise.
And all these I’ve written, are worth some thought.
Meditations on serious matters,
but Love and humour, and oddities too.
Conventional thinking, much here shatters,
with possibilities to think anew.
I hope you ‘gasp’ viewing my obsession.
That’s why it is called, Sonnet Expression.
